This residential complex comprised of 44 luxury apartments and expands on a whole Urban Building Block, reflects a layered approach to the building, where the interaction of geometric volumes, voids and solids, creates a dynamic play of balance and lightness. The apartment building deconstructs its solid volume into discrete individual units, which are organized into a complex three-dimensional structure, giving the whole a sense of fluidity and movement; the projecting slabs and recessed sections form an architectural vocabulary that breaks through monolithicity, creating a system of suspended planes that intertwine. The approximate management of projections and wraps enhances the contrast between shadow and light, adding depth to the view; the alternation of open and closed surfaces provides an ever-changing rhythm to the view. The strategy is to incorporate greenery on the horizontal surfaces, bringing back the element of nature into the design. The floor plan reveals a spatial layout based on the principle of transparency and visual flight, enhancing the sense of lightness and the interaction of volumes. The design is not limited to a static composition, but evolves into a layered system of spatial transitions, where the structured and the unstructured are in a continuous interactional relationship.
